Aircraft/Escort Team's Story

UNIFORM:
PILOT:
SECURITY:

A learjet C-21A with 6 lightly armed private security personnel, a pilot, and co-pilot sit on a closed section of runway at the Indian Air Force Base in Tambaram, India. Momentarily a convoy of three vans arrive from their short drive from a secret design lab in Guduvencheri, India.
Recently much of the R&D has been taking place in India due to lower wages, and high education levels. Secret technologies are no exception.
Heading up the design team is an American woman, who is now assisting with the loading of the cargo onto the plane.
In a few moments the scientist and cargo will be headed on its way to testing at Fort Polk.
As the pilot prepares to take off one of the escorts makes his way to the cabin to make certain everything clear for takeoff. The pilot informs him that everything is fine and they make their way into the air. A few moments later, the pilot smoothly maneuvers the aircraft on course. The co-pilot comments that this will be an uneventful flight
Approximately 8 hours into the flight, the aircraft begins to shake uncontrollably. Lights in flash and a loud "CLUNK" noise is heard.
Moments later the co-pilot radios HQ informing them that the plane is having engine problems and will be attempting to land at the airstrip outside of Abeche, Chad in Africa.
However, the pilot fights the plane but is losing altitude to quickly and is forced to make an emergency landing in a ravine 200 miles EAST of Abeche. This is the final bit of information that HQ receives before communications between the two are lost.
Upon examining the plane, the pilot notices something that could be a bullet hole on the underside of the wing and wonders who would have been able to hit the plane.
Aircraft/Escort Team Intel
The aircraft may still be in working order, however, it will require servicing from the pilot and co-pilot before they will be able to take off again. As for personal injuries, the aircraft crew is fine, the escort team and scientist's status is unknown. As mentioned above, the escort team is lightly armed with assault rifles but they are limited on ammunition. There are enough emergency supplies to sustain them for 48 hours.
A rescue team will be sent to retrieve the personnel and cargo of the aircraft in less than 8 hours.
The immediate surrounding area is populated by indigenous persons but they have not expressed any interest in helping the stranded Aircraft/Escort Team.
Further knowledge of surrounding area is not known.
