Villagers' Story

UNIFORM:

DIRTY CIVILIAN CLOTHING

For years the inhabitants of an unmapped village between Abeche and Abou Goulem in Chad have been oppressed by hostile territorialist (not necessarily terrorist) forces. While these forces do provide protection from marauding desert-dwellers, the territorialists forcibly take food and supplies from the villagers leaving them constantly on the brink of starvation and death with little chance of help from outsiders.

Due to unfavorable outcomes of previous encounters, the villagers are afraid of any outside contact and are hesitant to allow outsiders into their village. One of the most recent encounters, which began as a group of people promising to fight off the territorialist, ended with the villagers without food for the territorialists when they came to collect it, and ultimately ended with several of the villagers being shot and some forced into slavery.

For now, they live their lives day by day, hoping that tomorrow will bring something better for them.

Villager Intel:

Aside from being extremely hungry, the villagers are mostly armed with improvised hand weapons and are not expected to be equipped or trained with firearms.
